About Us
Vine Arts Center is a non-profit, member-run organization supporting emerging and established artists, partnering with the community, and providing space and support for visiting shows and events.

The Vine Arts Center is dedicated in memory of Howard Gelb
The Vine Arts Center is dedicated in memory of Howard Gelb without whose generosity and support the Vine Arts Center would not exist. He transformed the Flour City Ornamental Iron Works Building into the Ivy Building for the Arts and made this space available for the Vine Arts Center. Mrs Gelb and her daughter, Joyce Leibman joined us at the dedication of The Vine Arts Center.

Meet the Board!

Susan Kolstad
Chair
Susan has been a member of Vine Arts for several years. She brings her organizing experience as a small business owner to the board.

Tim Hornstine
Board Member
Tim Hornstine is a Minneapolis-based artist who uses digital artistry to express the perspectives of beauty that his eye holds. Influenced by his queer identity, Tim unbinds boundaries by unapologetically dancing through the intersection of sexuality, culture, and personal truth. His art celebrates humanity, offering uninhibited visuals and unrestricted interpretations of art as a means of conversation starters to the more significant topic of LGBTQ+ visibility and expression.

C Kim Pickering
Treasurer
Kim has been a member of the Vine Arts Center since it started. She believes that is a valuable community resource - a place to showcase local, national and international artists. Kim always encourages other artists and invites them to join the Gallery!
